Information We Collect
We collect personal information you provide when creating an account or using our services, including your name, email address, phone number, and location. For caregivers, we also collect professional information such as qualifications, certifications, and experience. We automatically collect usage data including log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and communication history on our platform.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide and improve our services — including matching families with caregivers, processing payments, sending notifications, and preventing fraud. We may also use your information to communicate with you about your account, respond to your inquiries, and send you updates about our services.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Between matched families and caregivers as necessary to facilitate care arrangements
- With service providers who help us operate our platform, including video call services (Daily.co), payment processors (Stripe), and SMS delivery services (Twilio)
- When required by law, court order, or other legal process
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Senior Care Connect, our users, or others
SMS Communications
By providing your phone number and consenting during signup, you agree to receive SMS messages from Senior Care Connect, including:
- Booking confirmation messages when a call is scheduled
- Reminder messages approximately 5 minutes before a scheduled call
- Notifications about your calls, such as caregiver availability or cancellations
Message frequency varies based on your usage. Message and data rates may apply.
SMS messages are sent via Twilio. Your phone number is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
To opt out of SMS messages, reply STOP to any message we send, or contact us through our contact page. Note that opting out of SMS may affect your ability to receive timely call reminders.
Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption of data in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You may also opt out of marketing communications. To exercise these rights, please contact us through our contact page or email us directly.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal information unless we are legally required to retain it.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
